Talk – Flying the Catalina and its history

Pilot and aviation author Richie flies the only airworthy Catalina outside the Americas, operating both on land and water. He recently opened the Lady Mayor’s Show with a flypast over the City of London. He is interested in the history of the iconic Consolidated Catalina and its operations around the world. During a tour of the Southern Hemisphere he visited operational bases in Australia. Richie will also talk about the flying characteristics of the Catalina and the operation of Miss Pick Up.
